Welcome to the Ignite Chicago Speech & Debate Club site.

We are a Christian speech and debate club formed to serve homeschooled students in DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Will and surrounding counties. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered club that balances instruction, competition, formation & socialization.

We support the mission of the National Christian Forensics and Communication Association (NCFCA) which states that formal speech and debate can provide a means for homeschooled students to learn and exercise analytical and oratorical skills, addressing life issues from a Biblical world view in a manner that glorifies God.

The club meets at Grace Church of DuPage (27W344 Galusha Ave, Warrenville, IL 60555) on Mondays.  Extemporaneous speaking meets between 4:15-5:00; speech meets between 5:00-6:30; potluck dinner at 6:30 followed by prayer and announcements; students not participating in the dinner are asked not to leave the building before debate; debate meets between 7:15-9:15. Meetings will begin promptly; please plan to arrive a few minutes early to get settled.
